As she returned home late enough to be early, the outside lands were not yet awakened as her slight steps carried forward the only elements of the new day that were not still still.
Then, just as she turned toward the front door, a reboant ruckus echoed through the walls—followed by a just as immediate hush.
For her birthday, all she had wanted was rest and calm, so she paused in a place invisible to the inside and, then, dashedly ducked her way to the next yard. There, she silenced her phone and set out for either bench or beach.
Yes, the world would be rising soon, but somehow both sun and air seemed better at muting the mayhem. She could manage a couple more hours of mood light now—before finally heading back home for earned goodnight. ; )

Anna’s anergia ameliorates as afternoon’s air, allowed apartment access, amplifies anticipations—activating artistic avenues amid agreeable auditory ambiance after another August ambulation. ; )

Once upon a sill sans tree,

Left milieu as few as bare.

That witch who swapped west for best
May just wand detest to zest. ; )

There—he watched her crossing with finest head askew.
“Was that glance intended for me?” He was sure such a looker would only play for a Manhattanite—one for whom the stats always benefitted. In fact, he would likely hold a double major, with the other being in chrematistics.
If the north pole was money, then the south was class—
Meaning a personality fragile as glass
Had no chance connecting with such a supreme lass.
But, then, the weather is known to change on a dime from time to time and, as it out-turned, this scene was set for his mantle—a snow globe that shook the system precisely enough to have the look to the left be just right for they guy labelled shy, who, even if it was not the final ‘at last’, presented enough coolness to earn a ‘hi’ rather than the expected from a posh passer-bye. ; )
