Search for a forever best mate

Asked for another hopeful date,

So to appease faltering fate,

They each chose to intercalate,

Within their so overbooked slate,

Time for a lovely shake and skate

In spiffy neighbourhood’s first rate,

Heartful place that is also great

For a kiss and a nictitate. ; )
