Well, Blinky, this morning’s episode of holming has certainly enkindled my desire to find a more peaceful tradition in which to participate. I hear that Kwanzaa and Gombey and Festivus are possible options for those inclined to explore rites of diverse cultures, but I am thinking that, perhaps, we could concoct our own way of celebrating. What do you think of making snow abstractions while singing to the moon followed by attaching lanterns to your antlers whilst we track figure-eights around the pond on which evening’s lovers skate and, then, finally, enjoying berries in a medley of forms until we are both sate? We will call it Trystmas, the holiday where all presents are simply a pleasant presence. ; )
