Sentry meerkat has no time to be a scrithel meerkat. Yes, there are many exciting places in the savannah in need of exploring, but someone must ensure home and its denizens remain both safe and aware.
Meerkat at post is quite deft at scanning the horizon for *all* threats and is not easily tempted by centration, even if there is within view a decaying log covered in an abundance of insects.
Ruffle in the grass is never a nugacity. It could just be the breeze. Or it could be a situation at which to sneeze. Even it turns out to be the bee’s knees, scouting meerkat scrutinizes all that it sees.
Oh, no, no, no, no, no. Meerkats of the perimeter live not by the tenets of a manifesto decreeing all that is surveyed as territory on which to set loose. Rather, they pause to review and, whenever possible, they paws to truce. ; )
