What is that? A herm, huh? For what purpose is that little knob? The whole shebang kind of blocks my view by the way. Oh, really? It protects me? See these paws? No, no–look closer. Yes, on the end of paws are *claws*. You may return your herm to sender, but thanks anyway. Wait, why are you crying? I did not mean to scarify your feelings, but, seriously, as much as the thought is appreciated, meerkats need to see approaching dangers and your gift is a bit of a blind spot to be honest. Oh, I see. Tutivillus has been seen in the area and you feel that is a danger of all dangers. Mmm-hmm, yes, yes. I see. Well, I am not sure you are aware of this, but most meerkats do not know how to write. We are spiritual animals who do not gossip and who also thrive for purpose in all our words and actions, so birds and snakes will continue to remain a greater concern to us. Wait a minute. What is this tag on the bottom here? You are supposed to be delivering your ‘herm’ to that museum villages away. Oh, you suffer from ergophobia? Well, let me tell you, buddy, that meerkats are an industrious lot, so your laziness is not welcome here. Hence, please kindly remove this unsightly marker from our home before you find yourself mobbed. ; )
